Racial Justice

The public pressure is working.

In the two weeks since George Floyd’s death, the movements for Black lives have swelled and driven real change like never before. Millions of people have taken to the streets demanding an end to police brutality, petitions for racial justice on Change.org have collected almost 30 million signatures.

And the pressure is working. All four officers involved in George Floyd’s killing have been charged, and Derek Chauvin has now been charged with second degree murder. The Minneapolis City Council has committed to defunding the police force that killed George Floyd and building an entirely new model for public safety.

These wins could never have happened without the leadership of Black organizers. Organizations like Black Visions Collective are fighting for a future where Black people can be autonomous, and safety is community-led. Today we’re encouraging you to donate and help them build collective power for Black people – so that our communities can be safe for everyone.
